Description

The proposed contract is for support services to operate a graphic design center. The development and preparation of all products must utilize the latest technologies, be of the highest quality, and developed within short time frames. The contractor will be required to provide, in a timely manner, artistically designed and well-executed computer graphics. These include presentation aids, 35 mm color slides, and overhead transparencies. Publication support is required to include document design, typesetting, and artwork for a range of publications including books, published reports and newsletters. The contractor will be required to respond in appropriate formats using Intel processor workstations, black and white and color printers, plotters, scanners, slide recorders, and other hardware. Experience using multiple graphic software packages such as Ventura Publisher 8, Adobe PageMaker 6.5, Quark Express 4.01, Microsoft Word 2000, Corel Word Perfect 8, Corel Draw, Adobe PhotoShop, Microsoft Power Point, and Microsoft Excel are required. All work will be accomplished using Government furnished equipment. Award of a Labor Hour type contract is anticipated. The period of performance will be for a six (6) month or more base (not to exceed one (1) year) with options for two (2) additional years. RFP-3-01-HHS-OS will be issued on or about February 26, 2001. This is a 100% set-aside for small business concerns. It is anticipated that the solicitation document will be available on the DHHS website at www.os.dhhs.gov/progorg/oam/contrct approximately 5 business days after the solicitation is issued in hard copy. However, to assure receipt, you should request a paper copy. Requests for paper copies of this RFP must be made in writing to the address and contact point listed above.
