- Description
- Acquisition of COPARS, contractor operation of an on-base parts store to sell to the Government motor vehicle and miscellaneous equipment parts for Eglin AFB, FL. Period of performance is 01 Mar 00 -- 30 Sep 01 with four (4) one-year option periods for a total performance period of 55 months. The government anticipates award of a firm fixed price requirements type contract. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by this agency. This acquisition is being offered for unrestricted competition. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 44131 will apply for this acquisition. The proposed issue date is approximately 14 Nov 00. The solicitation will not be distributed in hard copy. Potential offerors may download the solicitation on or about 14 Nov 00 from the following web site: http://www.eps.gov. An Ombudsman has been appointed to address concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but communicates contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman shall maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. Matters of a routine or administrative nature concerning this acquisition should not be addressed to the Ombudsman but rather to the Contracting Officer, Contract Specialist, or the Program Manager identified above.
