Description

The U.S. Secret Service (USSS) proposes to enter into a sole source contract with Cadillac Motor Car Division, General Motors Corporation, 100 Renaissance Center, Detroit, Michigan 48265 for the procurement of ten (10) Model Year 2002 Cadillac DeVilles, with a 100% option for an additional ten (10) Model Year 2002 Cadillac DeVilles. Based on the above requirement, it has been determined per Federal Acquisition Regulation, Subpart 6.302-1, that only one responsible source is available to provide required vehicles. All the major domestic manufacturers have been surveyed. The Cadillac DeVille is the only vehicle capable of meeting the critical design requirements of the USSS. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement, on a full and open competitive basis upon receipt of responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Only written responses will be accepted and must be received within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this notice.
