Description

The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) has a requirement to continue the SLBM Elimination program in Russia by providing infrastructure upgrades in areas necessary to continue on-going SLBM elimination. These improvements include the inspection and recertification of the isothermal rail and escort cars used to transport SLBMs, maintenance and repairs for defueling and neutralization handling equipment, the replacement of a roof and repair to a corridor and stairway in the Heptyl Waste Neutralization station, repairs to a railroad turnout area, and repair of two 5-wheel Russian Truck Tractors. DTRA plans to award a sole source contract to the Scientific Test Institute at Sergiev Posad, Republic of Russia.
