- Description
- The Air Armament Center (AAC) Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) Program Office, AAC/YU, anticipates awarding a contract action for the repair of non-warranted JDAM Telemetry (TM) Kits, not to exceed a total of 8 TM assets. The actions are expected to be awarded to the McDonnell Douglas Corporation, a Wholly-Owned subsidiary of the Boeing Company. The McDonnell Douglas Corporation is the only company that has the detailed knowledge necessary to provide the needed support. The Government does not own the Technical Data Package (TDP) which would allow other companies to become sufficiently knowledgeable about the TM design to enable them to perform the required repairs. Since the aggregate cost of these repair actions will be below the simplified acquisition threshold, Numbered Note 22 does not apply. The synopsis is for informational and planning purposes only. It does not constitute a solicitation for bids or proposals and is not to be contrued as a commitment by the Government. An Ombudsman has been appointed to address concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the Program Director or Contracting Officer, but communicates contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman shall maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. Matters of routine or administrative nature concerning this acquisition should not be addressed to the Ombudsman but rather to the Contracting Officer or Contract Specialist identified above. For any other concerns, interested parties may call the AAC Ombudsman, Dr. Mario J. Caluda, at (850) 882-5558. For contractual information concerning this synopsis, please contact Ms. Terri Brown at (850) 882-3525, extension 3124. For technical information, contact Mr. Mike Evans at (850) 882-3525, extension 3203.
