Description

Contractor shall collect, haul, and dispose of refuse at the designated sanitary landfill from Fort Knox facilities. The designated landfill is Outer Loop in Louisville, Kentucky and is approximately 35 miles from the Fort Knox installation. Contractor shall collect various recycle materials and deliver to the recycle center located on the Fort Knox installation, and the contractor shall operate a construction debris landfill also located on the installation. The period of performance is June 1, 2001 through May 31, 2002 with four one-year option periods through May 31, 2006. Contractor shall provide all personnel and equipment to perform services in accordance with the contract specifications, Department of Defense, Federal, and Kentucky regulatory requirements. A formal site visit to observe the restricted access areas is planned for March 13, 2001. The planning date for release of the solicitation is February 28, 2001.
