Description

NASA/DFRC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for: 1. (1) Part # IXC6701-41111V, 4 processor (TMS320C6701) DPS Board 2. (1) Part #IXCtools.x.x, IXCtools software package, VxWorks Support, IXCtools Documentation (PDF), HostAPI 3. (1) Part #IXlibs-C6x-DL, C-capable functions for the TMS320C6x family of DSP chips, supplies are deemed to be available only from the original source. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/DFRC intends to purchase the items from DY4 Systems in Valley Center, CA in support of the DDF and Flight Test Techniques projects. In order to further investigate and implement a subsystems for processing and archiving of analog and PCM streams, the Ixthos Champ-C6 DSP board is required. Ixthos DSP boards are currently being used and are compatible with GEDAE in addition to VxWorks, a currently used VME environment in the Research Branch. Thus, the Champ-C6 board is required in order to maintain the integrity and congruency of the processing and archiving of analoog and PCM streams. The Government intends to acquire commercial items using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:00 p.m.PDT on February 9, 2001. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
