Description

This a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitute the only solicitation. Proposals/price quotes are being requested in response to this publication and a written solicitation WILL NOT be issued. This synopsis/solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) #1CO-0288. This synopsis/solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) #97-22. This requirement is a 100% small business set-aside under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 721110. The Federal Bureau of Prisons is seeking the services of a Lodging/Conference facility to accomodate the National Institute of Correction's OJJDP Training, April 03-13, 2001 within the areas of Park City, Utah; or Salt Lake City, Utah. The hotel shall contain eating and banquet facilities. Breaks offered by the hotel in conjunction with meeting/conference room shall be included in the cost of the rental of the room. Please provide quotes based on the following: (1) 04/03/01 through 04/13/01 -- 24 Each single Occupancy Lodging Rooms. (2) Lodging for trainers: 2 at hotel April 3-13, 2001; 6 others at other dates thourghtout the program ( INDIVIDUAL BILL -- NOT INCLUDED IN MASTER BILL) (3) Meals as follows: Tuesday, April 3rd -- Dinner (4) Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner -- April 04-12, 2001 (5) Breakfast and Boxed Lunch -- Friday, April 13, 2001 (6) Boxed Lunch for 24 participants -- Saturday, April 07, 2001, (additional 8 Boxed Lunches for INDIVIDUAL PAYMENT) for a total of 32. (7) Banquet Dinner -- Thursday, April 12, 2001 (8) *1 Meeting room -- minimum 1200 square feet, April 03-13, 2001 to accomodate 5 round tables with 4 participants per table, 1 long table to accomodate approx 5 trainers. (9) *2 Meeting rooms -- minimum 400 square feet, April 03-13, 2001 to accomodate 2 round tables per room with 4 participants per table. (10) Audio Visual Equipment: 4 to 6 easel stands and extra pads (April 03-13, 2001; Overhead Projector and Screen (April 03-13, 2001); Additonal Overhead Projector (April 12, 2001 -- ONLY); Monitor/VCR (1/2" VHS) April 03-13, 2001; InFocus Projector and Laptop (NIC wil supply). No session on Sunday, April 08, 2001 -- would still like training rooms to remain set up with our materials and equipment. Last meeting date: Friday, April 13, 2001; 08:AM-12:00PM. *Meeting Room Size is a must. The applicable FAR provisions and clauses described herein will not be provided by the Contracting Officer. Copies of these clauses and provisions can be obtained from the Bureau of Prisons' Web Site at www.bop.gov, click on the Acquisition Link. A completed copy of Far 52.212-3 will be required. This will be provided by the Contracting Officer to the oferor with the proposal/quotation most advantageous to the Government prior to award. Award of this requirement will be based on price and price related factors only.
