Description

This solicitation if for the publisher to produce a weekly newspaper to be known as _Desert Airman_, a commercial enterprise newspaper published to provide news and command information to personnel of Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ. This publication is subject to the requirements of Department of Defense Instruction (DODI) 5120.4, Air Force Instruction (AFI) 35-101 and the regulations and instructions incorporated therein by references. This acquisition will be accomplished using commercial procedures in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 12. The applicable SIC is 2711. The period of performance will be for a basic period of 2 years with 2 two-year option periods. The Government reserves the right to exercise the options. The solicitation number for this solicitation is F02601-01-R0010. The estimated solicitation issue date is 1 Feb 2001. The solicitation, notices and all amendments will be posted and available for viewing and downloading on the Government Electronic Posting Systems (EPS) site at www.eps.gov. No paper copies will be issued. When the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. All prospective offerors interested in submitting a proposal must have a commercial and government entity code (CAGE Code) and be registered in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) at www.ccr2000.com. This notice does not obligate the Government toward a contract, it does not restrict the Government in its ultimate approach, nor does it obligate the government to pay for any proposal preparation cost.
