Description

The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to award a contract for approximately 6,419,175 man-hours of Planning Yard, Design Agent, Configuration Management, Logistics, Maintenance/Modernization and Submarine Extended Operating Cycle (SEOC) support of SSN 688, SEAWOLF and SSBN submarines; Engineering, Technical and Design support for SEAWOLF submarines to Newport News Shipbuilding. This contract is to provide this effort over a period of five years (one base year and four option years). This effort includes procurement of material to support the services provided. Solicitation N00024-01-R-2905 will be issued to Newport News Shipbuilding, 4101 Washington Avenue, Newport News, VA 23607, since they are the only contractor with the unique experience and technical knowledge to provide the support required by the full spectrum of submarine classes.
