Description

This is a request for Proposals for an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract for Auger tree planting. Contract time will run through September 30, 2001. The purpose of this contract is to secure services for auger tree planting of Government-furnished tree seedlings, fertilization of each planted tree with government-furnished fertilizer packets, and the installation of protective netting on each planted fir tree with government-furnished netting. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies (except those designated as Government-furnished) and incidentals to perform all work specified therein. This project is located on the Grindstone Ranger District, Mendocino National Forest in California. A pre-proposal tour is scheduled for 8:00 a.m. February 26. The Government will order a minimum of 549 acres planting, fertilization and netting with a maximum of 700 acres. The Government will award the contract to the offeror whose offer represents the best value to the Government based on the merits of the proposal for: technical approach, past performance, experience of project personnel, and price. Estimated issue date is February 13, 2001 with an estimated due date of 3/13/01.
