Description

The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), the Department of Defense Medical School and Health Sciences University, intends to award on a sole source basis, a contract to the Henry M. Jackson Foundation (HMJF) for the Advancement of Military Medicine, Rockville, MD, to provide continuing research support in the study of Tyrosine. Contract will be cost-reimbursable (no fee) with an estimated value of $72,000, for the period of performance will be one year. This contract is being awarded in accordance with statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition at 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(5), "Authorized or Required by Statute." The proposed procurement is in compliance with Public Law 92-426, entitled "Uniformed Services Health Professions Revitalization Act of 1972" and 10 U.S.C. 178 and 2113 (j)(1)(A) which authorizes USUHS to award contracts on a sole source basis to the Henry M. Jackson Foundation. See Note 22.
