Description

This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice for a full and open competition. This RFP will ONLY be released and available electronically at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Accordingly, NO telephone, fax, or e-mail requests will be accepted. Since the RFP will only be available electronically, it will be the responsibility of interested parties to monitor the Federal Business Opportunities website for any amendments. The ESTIMATED release date of the Request for Proposal (RFP) is mid February 2001. Proposals will be due 45 days after release of the RFP. The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) anticipates awarding four contracts to provide technical, non-personal services in support of the development and conduct of the Long Term Pavement Performance (LTPP) studies established under the Strategic Highway Research Program (SHRP). Each contract shall cover a specific geographical area consisting of: North Atlantic Region, North Central Region, Southern Region and Western Region. The scope of the contract includes the collection of site specific data from LTPP test sections, the coordination of data collection efforts of other contractors and highway agencies, quality control of data collection procedures and data, and transmittal of the data to the National Information Management System (NIMS) database. This competitive procurement is a re-competition of the following four contracts, incumbent companies_ names are as follows: 1) DTFH61-96-C-00010 with Nichols Consulting Engineers, LTD., Reno, NV; 2) DTFH61-96-C-00011 with Fugro-BRE, Inc.; Austin, TX; 3) DTFH61-96-C-00012 with Stantec Consulting, LTD., Amherst, NY and 4) DTFH61-96-C-00013 with ARA, ERES Division, Champaign, IL.
