Description

The proposed contract action is for maintenance and repair for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. It is believed that Marconi Medical System, Inc. is the sole source having the ability to perform the maintenance and repair which will meet the needs of this Medical Center. It is our intent to negotiate a contract with Marconi Medical Systems Inc. if this is found true. Although no solicitation is available at this time, concerns responding to this notice may request a copy of the solicitation should one become available. Firms having the ability to furnish the following services, are requested to give written notification (including telephone number for a point of contact) to the procuring office listed in the notice within 15 calendar days from the date of the synopsis. Furnish all parts, labor, and transportation to provide preventive maintenance and repair of Marconi (formerly Picker) Edge MRI System, Power Drive upgrade, Outlook MRI system, MEG system inclusive of Vistar and Viewpoint, Edge MRI Cryogen support, and Neuromag MEG cryogen support. Successful offeror shall be engaged full-time in the maintenance and repair of complex medical equipment and have access to complete service manuals and parts inventory.
