Description

DESC: 1005-01-396-4039, Part Number 12956154, The item to procure is a Butt Plate Assembly for use on the M249 Machine Gun. Butt Plate Assembly is composed of three manufactured parts; 2 each Rods (12956151); 1 each Butt Plate (12956150). The Rod is manufactured from aluminum round stock and the Butt Plate is manufactured from an aluminum casting with machining work required. Parts require assembly and some plating. Solicitation is issued as a 100% small business set-aside, for 423 Butt Plate Assembly, and will include a 100 percent option. FOB is Destination. Estimated issue date is 8 Feb 2001. This solicitation incorporates a Technical Data Package (TDP) that cannot be provided via the internet. Vendors who need this TDP in order to prepare a bid or proposal are instructed to request same by submission of an email request to: tacom-ri-tdp@ria.army.mil. Any said requests should contain the following information; CAGE Code (if available), Company Name, Point of Contact (optional), Street Address, City, State, Zip Code, Telephone Number. A TDP will be provided by normal mail after the solicitation has been released to the internet. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(a)(7) and 14.205-1(c) therefore hardcopies will not be provided. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list.
