Description

The Commander requires the lease of floating cranes with pile hammers and operators to perform pile driving operation and various other floating crane functions at the Norfolk Naval Station, Norfolk, Virginia. A combination Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) and Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IQ) contract will be awarded. The FFP portion of the contract will include two cranes with pile hammers and operators for forty (40) hours per week, 52 weeks per year. The IQ portion of the contract will will include line items to allow the Government to order (as required) an additional crane with pile hammer and operator and overtime hours for both the FFP and IQ crane operators. The contract will contain provisions for a base year (12 months) and four (4)option periods (up to 12 months per option period). The total duration of the contract may not exceed 60 months. This requirement is a 100% Set Aside for Small Business Concerns. The North American Industrial Code System (NAICS) number is 234990 and the Size Standard is 25.7 million dollars. The Invitation For Bid (IFB) package will only be available via the NAVFACENGCOM Electronic Solicitation (E-Sol) web site. The IFB is planned to be posted on or about March 19, 2001. The Bid Opening Date shall be at least thirty (30) days after the IFB is posted to the E-Sol Web Site. The Contract Start Date is scheduled for December 26, 2001. All contractors must register on the E-Sol Web Site before downloading the IFB. to ensure receipt of Amendments and all other information issued regarding this requirement.
