Description

Work to be performed consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to construct a new two story 15,000 square foot office and storage building at the Hatfield Marine Science Center, 2030 Marine Science Dr., Newport, Oregon. The work includes but is not limited to excavation, earthwork, concrete foundations, precast concrete panels, steel columns and beams, metal wall framing, gypsum drywall, suspended acoustical ceilings, carpeting, vinyl flooring, painting, and mechanical and electrical systems. The estimated construction cost is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Project completion time is estimated to be 360 calendar days after notice to proceed. Solicitation documents will be available on or about February 26, 2001, for a non-refundable charge of $30.00 (check or money order) made payable to the U.S. Department of Commerce. The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business concerns.
