Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center, Lakehurst, NJ, intends to procure one (1) each of NC Swivel Spindle Attachment. The proposed acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not own specifications or drawings to permit full and open competition. It is intended to procure these items on a sole source basis from Ingersoll Milling Machine Company. At a minimum, the new NC Swivel Attachment must have the same dimensions as the existing NC Swivel Spindle Attachment (Ingersoll Drawing 990-3969-19) except for the additional space taken-up by the hydraulic clamp per Ingersoll drawing R-22065-SU-004. Delivery is required 45 weeks after date of contract award. Shipping terms shall be FOB Destination with Inspection/Acceptance at Source. A firm-fixed price contract is anticipated. Firms that recognize and produce the required item described are urged to identify themselves. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which may be considered by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. See Note 22.
