Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Leeds, MA was intending to negotiate with SBC Datacom-Nortel for 7X24 Hour Phone Support and 7X24 parts and labor with 4-hour response on Bay Networks Model 5000BHC, Bay Neworks ASN Router Model 34000-S. However, several vendors have showed interest and have requested a copy of the solicitation for bidding purposes. Since two or more of these vendors were small business. This solicitation will be 100% Set-aside for small business. Solicitation package will be available on 1/26/01. NOTE: 1. All on-site troubleshooting and repair work must be performed by qualified Bay Networks technical personnel. 2. Contractor must provide multi-vendor technical telephone support to account for numerous different manufactures. Support technicians must be certified on Bay Networks, Cisco, Nortel and Digital Electronic Corporation equipment. 3. Contractor must provide remote diagnostic services to allow support personnel to monitor, troubleshoot and resolve problems. 4. Contractor must have a GSA contract that includes Bay Networks equipment. Contract will run from award to 9/30/01 and will have 30 day notice cancellation clause.
