Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate with Solarmax, 9 Council Drive, Woodsboro, MD, on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302, to provide material, labor and equipment and all requirements to supply and install Solarmax M20 Silver SR solar film in Buildings 220, 221, 222 and 223 on the NIST Gaithersburg, MD campus. The Solarmax film is the only manufactured energy saving solar film that is identical to that currently installed on buildings at NIST, and therefore provides a perfect match for the unified appearance of the NIST site.*****The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price Purchase Order. The period of performance is ninety (90) calendar days.*****This notice of intent is not a request for quotations. A request for quotations (RFQ) will NOT be available. However, all quotations received within 15 days of the publication date of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
