Description

UNICOR, FPI intends to enter into a Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Commercial Items type contract for Nomex Fabric for the production f berth curtains, fan panels, privacy curtains, and other drapery type products requiring an inherently fire retardant, shrink-safe woven fabric. The description of each item is as follows: FAB 0483 -- Fabric, Curtain, Nomex, Royal Blue, 51"W, 6 oz, Type I, Class 3, Style A IAW Mil Spec DOD C-24556. FAB 0670 -- Fabric, Curtain, Nomex, Gold, 50"W, IAW MIL-C-24500A(SH). Both fabrics shall be IAW MIL-STD-1623D(SH) Fire Performance Requirements. The period of performance shall be for two (2) years. The estimated quantity is 80,000 Yards for FAB 0483, and 2,500 Yards for FAB 0670. Delivery is FOB Destination FCI Dublin, CA. Delivery acceptance is 30 days after receipt of each delivery order. The Guaranteed Minimum Amount is: 26,000 Yards. The Delivery Order Minimum is: 1,000 Yards for FAB 0483 and 250 Yards for FAB 0670. The Delivery Order Maximum is: 20,000 Yards for FAB 0483 and 1,000 Yards for FAB 0670. This requirement is all or none. A 12"x12" product sample is required prior to contract award. The award will be based on the Best Value to the Government. The Evaluation Factors are: Price, Past Performance, and Specifications. Additional information will be provided in the solicitation which is due to be issued on or about January 31, 2001.
