Description

The Marine Corps Systems Command proposes to procure precision components and accessories for the vendors listed below for a 584 each production quantity of Marine Corps M40A3 Sniper Rifles to be manufactured in-house by the Marine Master Gunsmiths of the Precision Weapons Section, MCBQ. After extensive market research/testing, the Marine Corps will place contracts/purchase orders for the following commercial off-the-shelf components: from the Remington Arms Company, Ilion, NY, 584 short-bolt receiver assemblies; from McMillian Fiberglass Stocks, Inc., Phoenix, AZ, 584 model A4 sniper rifle fiberglass stocks; from Schneider Rifle Barrels, Scottsdale, AZ, 584 match grade rifle barrels, limited competition for 584 rifle slings; from Tenebraex Corporation, Boston, MA, 584 anti-reflection devices; from Eagle Industries, Fenton, MO, 584 hybrid sniper rifle carriers, binocular pouches, tripod pouches, and padded scope covers with crown covers; from Otis Technology, Inc., Lyons Falls, VA, 1000 sniper rifle cleaning kits 308-7; from Champions Choice, Lavergne, TN, 1,184 quick detachable sling swivels; from Scopecoat, Phoenix, AZ, 584 XP-6 scopecoats; from Harris Engineering, Inc., Bartlow, KY, 584 model S-BRM Harris bipods; and from KMW Long Range Solutions, 584 KMW pod-locs.
