- Description
- DTCG87-01-Q-643047 -- Composite Building Bathroom Renovation, USCG Air Station Sitka, Alaska. Work is for renovation of two bathrooms and their associated vestibules. Remove existing finish flooring, wall tiles, toilet partitions, bathroom accessories, countertops and bowls, selected hardware and other incidental items. Prepare existing surfaces and install new floor tiles, wainscot tiles, bathroom accessories, countertops and bowls, plumbing hardware, painting, toilet partitions and other incidental work. The estimated start work date is early to mid March, with a performance period of 60 calendar days after contract award. The estimated cost range is between $25,000 and $100,000. This procurement is issued on an unrestricted basis pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration program, public law 100-656, as implemented by the OFPP Policy Directive and Test Plan dated 8/31/89. This is NOT a small business set-aside. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 233310 and the applicable Small Business size standard is $27.5 million dollars in annual receipts for the past three years. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the U. S. Coast Guard. Requests for quotation packages must be submitted and received by this office not later than 5 February 2001. For minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises; The Department of Transportation (DOT), Officer of Small Business Utilization (OSBDU), has a program to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short term contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontractor at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guarantee of the bid bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide for accounts receivable. The maximum line of credit is $500,000 dollars.
