Description

The Albuquerque Area Indian Health Service (AAIHS) intends to issue a Request for Proposal for procurement of consultant services to the Albuquerque Area Tribes regarding administration of tribal utility organizations. Services shall include providing advice and support to the tribes to develop and implement management organizations for the respective tribal utilities; conduct assessments of tribes' interests and ability to develop tribal utility organizations; and provide on-site services to tribes expressing desire to develop utility management system. Contractor will work directly with all tribes that are under the purview of the AAIHS and Environmental Protection Agency, Region 6. Contractor will work also with tribal grant writers and funding agencies to develop possible sources of revenues that would provide organizational support and infrastructure improvements. The contract period of performance will be for a base year with two (2) one-year options for renewal. This is a 51% Buy Indian Set-Aside under the authority of the Buy Indian Act, 25 U.S.C. 47.
