Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The RFQ number DAAD21-01-T-0026 is being issued as a Request For Quotation (RFQ) and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-11, which might be accessed electronically at http://www.arnet.gov/far. This requirement is set aside for Historically Black Colleges and Universities/Minority Institutions (HBCU/MI), SIC code 8221 NAICS code 61131, with a business size of 3.5 million dollars. Services required for Computer Science major students to provide computer assistance in the Directorate of Information Management which includes; installing new PC hardware, upgrading current PC hardware and software as needed, to man and assist with the help desk to take trouble calls from personnel, to submit required service orders for necessary repairs, and forward for appropriate action. A total of 4,000 work hours required, 20-32 hours per week per student. The period of performance shall be 1 Feb 01 through 31 Dec 01 at the Pine Bluff Arsenal. The Government will award a purchase order from this RFQ to the responsible offeror that provides the best value to the government, price and other factors considered. The other factor being, firms must be in the local community and travel distance at a minimal in case of emergencies. The following FAR/DFAR provisions are applicable to this acquisition; (a)FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, (b)FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to implement Statues or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, (c)DFAR 252.204-7004, Required Central Contractor Registration, (d)FAR 52.226-2, Historically Black College or University and Minority Institution Representation.
