Description

This is a best value, unrestricted, negotiated procurement for the construction of a new Cardiovascular Research Building at the VA Medical Center, Temple, TX, Project No. 674-079C. Work includes approximately 56,756 square feet (3 levels) of new construction (reinforced concrete with one-way joists, beams and columns). The first floor will consist of administrative offices; the second floor will be storage with rough-in for 10 future wet laboratories; the third floor will have 10 wet labortories with related support spaces. Other work includes; interior finishes, elevators, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire sprinklers and fire alarm systems and associated site and utility upgrades. Cost Range: between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Bid Documents will be available February 12, 2001.
