Description

Plant Protection Services on-site at GSFC/Wallops Flight Facility (WFF). This is a notice of intent to issue a Letter Request for Proposal on a noncompetitive basis in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1) -- "Only One Responsible Source", to Omne Services Group, 11 Bleeker Street, Millburn, NJ 07041 for a two-month period with four additional one-month option periods, March 1, 2001, through August 31, 2001, as an extension under contract NAS5-32240. This proposed plant protection support is necessary for continued security and fire services at GSFC, Wallops Flight Facility. The current plant protection services contract is scheduled to expire on February 28, 2001. Plant protection services will be included in the Wallops Integrated Contract Consolidation (WICC). This proposed extension will allow for completion of the follow-on solicitation and for contract award. Competition of this contract is not possible due to the short duration of the service period. Award of this extension to other than the incumbent would likely result in disruption of services since this contract requires contractor-supplied items such as vehicles, uniform, and personnel security clearances. Continued services with the incumbent contractor are considered necessary for the safe, orderly, and effective continuation of security and fire activities. Any firms desiring consideration are requested to fully identify their capabilities to provide these services within 15 days of publication of this synopsis, in writing, to the GSFC/Wallops Flight Facility and individual listed.
