Description

Capability Statements are sought from qualified 8(a) companies. NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) is soliciting capability statements from qualified 8(a) companies for potential sources to support GSFC in the design and implementation of initiatives aimed at facilitating technology transfer, commercialization and Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) activities. This will include assisting in the development and implementation of a comprehensive and systematic methodology to ensure that technology efforts will be identified by the contractors, and their individual and joint efforts assessed to determine usefulness to future NASA missions, and assisting GSFC in the development and employment of commercialization strategies. The support will include maintaining an awareness of NASA Technology Transfer/Commercialization activities, including marketing, outreach, planning conferences, workshops and meetings. Support will also include assisting GSFC in the administration of SBIR activities, and other Engineering and Technology initiatives, including preparing supporting documents to allow the government to respond to inquiries from the media. A cost-plus-incentive-fee contract is contemplated. The estimated period of performance is 3 years. No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. If a solicitation is released it will not be synopsized in the CBD or on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service. NASA intends to award an 8(a) contract . Qualified vendors having the capabilities necessary to meet or exceed the stated requirements for the procurement are invited to submit appropriate documentation, literature, brochures, and references. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. Respondents deemed fully qualified will be considered in any resultant solicitation for the requirement. NASA, GSFC intends to award the resulting contract as a Section 8(a) Small Disadvantaged Business Set Aside.
