The meeting will be held in the Air Armament Center_s Combat Support Systems Program Office conference room (Building 40). The street address is 314 West Choctawhatchee Ave., Eglin AFB, FL 32542-5717. Two attendees per company will be allowed. Visit requests must be submitted on company letterhead NLT Thursday 25 January 2001. The request should include the company_s street and web addresses, names, positions/titles, phone and fax numbers/email addresses of attendees. If desired, visitors can request upon submittal of the visitor request a one-on-one meeting time with the government team. Specific times for one-on-one meetings will be given on a first-come first-serve basis. Fax requests to (850) 882-9381, Attn: Karen Wagner, Contract Specialist, AAC/WMOK or email to karen.wagner@eglin.af.mil or Karen S. Turner, Contracting Officer, AAC/WMOK or email to karen.turner@eglin.af.mil. The Medical SSS requirement is for an air-transportable, modular, medical shelter system that will interface with current Air Force inventory medical shelters (TEMPER and EMEDS). The shelter should be approximately 650 sq/ft, have optional extensions for connecting two or more shelters end-to-end, and vestibules for extension entry, or for connecting to another shelter extension. Since the new procurement must be interoperable with current USAF inventory items, the Government will have TEMPER and EMEDS shelters on site for the Industry Day. This will provide an opportunity for potential offerors to examine the inventory items, and take any measurements and pictures deemed necessary to ensure that their production sample meets the intent and requirement of this solicitation. This procurement will be Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) IAW FAR Part 12. It will be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP), contract awarded on _Best Value_ basis. This acquisition action will be a small business set-aside. The Berry Amendment applies to this procurement. The Synopsis/Solicitation release date is projected to be in mid-February and will be released through CBD announcement, and by electronic posting to <http://www.eps.gov>. Program information will be placed on the Internet as it becomes available, to include the synopsis/solicitation, test plan with methodology, and evaluation criteria. The Government reserves the right to conduct a Pre-Award survey to include production facility site visits to verify manufacturing capability. Proposals will include a production representative medical shelter, vestibule, and extension to be delivered at offeror_s expense, and will be due with the paper proposals, 30 days from the solicitation date. A form/fit demonstration test on the production product sample submitted will be conducted as part of the source selection process; contract award is anticipated to be 30 days after proposal due date; and first delivery is anticipated to be 30 days after contract award. During Government form/fit demonstration testing, offerors will NOT be allowed to alter or redesign their delivered product sample. Contractors will have the opportunity to observe the testing of their shelter. This announcement and the Draft System Performance Specification (SPS) are available via the World Wide Web at http://www.esp.gov. (Look for Solicitation Number: F08635-01-R-0030)!! KAREN S.
