Description

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), National Veterinary Services Laboratory (NVSL), Ames, IA., intends to purchase a Renaissance Tissue Processor. The government intends to contract this procurement with Ventana Medical Systems Inc. The government knows of no other source and believes this procurement is proprietary to Ventana Medical Systems. This is a Simplified Acquisition with an estimated value of less than $36,000. This is not a request for proposals and there is no solicitation available. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Interested firms should submit in writing, their name, address, point of contact, telephone number, business size, a brief statement regarding capability to provide the specified procurement, and points of contact for businesses or other Government agencies to which it has previously provided this type of procurement. All responses received within ten days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. The information should be submitted to the facsimile number stated herein. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government also reserves the right to solicit offers based on receipt of affirmative responses to this notice. Telephone requests or inquiries will not be accepted.
