Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure on a Competitive basis,1 each -- Mac Panel Company 3264 Hole Patch Panel System or equal, 1 each -- Mac Panel Company 2532 Hole Patch Panel System or equal, 2 each -- Mac Panel Company 1632 Hole Patch Panel System or equal. Task Description: NAWCWD requires a patching system to interconnect measurement electronics with recording and display systems at the Survivability test lab. Signals may be up to 500 khz frequency, Voltages to 100 Vrms and currents to 5 amps. Specifications for the 3264 Hole Patch Panel System: Provide 1 each receiver for removable plug boards. Must have at least 3264 positions with gold plated contacts. The receiver wiring contacts must have a snap lock action for easy insertion and removal. The snap lock pins should be crimp type for wire size 18-20awg, and gold plated. Provide 1 pin per position for 3264 snap lock pins. Provide 5 insert and 5 extraction tools and a crimp tool for the snap lock pins. Provide 3 removable plugboards for each receiver. The plugboards to provide greater than 5 x 10 to the tenth power ohms resistance pin to pin. Provide gold plated plugwires in the following quantities and lengths: 6-inch @ 100 each, 9-inch @ 200 each, 15-inch @ 300 each, 24-inch @ 250 each. If available provide shunting strips to make 1200 holes common. Specifications for the 2532 Hole Patch Panel System: Provide 1 each receiver for removable plug boards. Must have at least 2560 positions with gold plated contacts. The receiver wiring contacts must have a snap lock action for easy insertion and removal. The snap lock pins should be crimp type for wire size 18-20 awg, and gold plated. Provide 1 pin per position for 2560 snap lock pins. Provide 3 removable plugboards. The plugboards to provide greater than 5 x 10 to the tenth power ohms resistance pin to pin. Provide gold plated plugwires in the following quantities and lengths: 6-inch @ 100 each, 9-inch @ 100 each, 15-inch @ 300 each, 24-inch @ 250 each. Specifications for the 1632 Hole Patch Panel System: Provide 2 each receiver for removable plug boards. Must have at least 1632 positions with gold plated contacts. The receiver wiring contacts must have a snap lock action for easy insertion and removal. The snap lock pins should be crimp type for wire size 18-20 awg, and gold plated. Provide 1 pin per position for 3264 snap lock pins. Provide 6 removable plugboards. The plugboards to provide greater than 5 x 10 to the tenth power ohms resistance pin to pin. Provide gold plated plugwires in the following quantities and lengths: 9-inch @ 100 each, 15-inch @ 300 each, 24-inch @ 200 each. This is a small purchase, small business set-aside. The SIC Code is 334519 and the size standard is 500. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. The solicitation number is N68936-01-T-0051. The solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-37. Delivery is required on or before 01 June 2001. NAWS China Lake, CA FOB point is Destination.
