Description
This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the Small Acquisition Procedures of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). The following provisions and Clauses are applicable unless otherwise noted: 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial; 52.212-1(b)(8) otherwise noted: 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial; 52.212-1(b)(8) is deleted; 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items; 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; QUOTES ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-20. This RFP is restricted to 100% Small Businesses. The NAICS code for this item is 335999 and the small business size standard is 750 employees. Award will be made to one offeror who fully meets requirements for the Visor Light. This is a firm fixed price requirement for 700 each Visor Lights. The lights shall have 480 flashes per minute, be self contained microprocessor controlled, have a built in switch, 10' cable w/cigarette lighter plug, velcro straps for quick and secure mounting, 5"x12". Lenses shall be "Halo" lenses available in red, blue, clear, green and amber colors. The units shall be airbag compatible with velcro straps for quick and secure visor mounting and weigh 16 oz. Inspection and acceptance shall be at destination. The Government may make award to the responsible offeror(s) whose offer conforms to the Request for Quotation (RFQ) and is most advantageous price to the Government. The Government anticipates an award date on or about January 26, 2001. Please note: Quotes submitted by FAX WILL BE accepted. All responsible offerors shall fax or mail quotes to the U.S. Secret Service, Procurement Division, 950 H. St., NW, Rm 6700, Washington, DC 20373, ATTN: Andy Anderson; before 3:00 PM, January 23, 2001. Proposals are subject to x-ray by the U.S. Secret Service, therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit proposals prior to the established date and time for closing to ensure timely arrival of the appropriate office. The Government will not be responsible for any costs in the preparation of responses to this announcement. See Note 1.
