- Description
- AMENDMENT TO SUBMISSION No. 451951 DATED MAY 5, 2000. This is a non-developmental program integrating commercial front-end light/heavy loader technology for a front-end loader that will support the following five areas: Light, Type I -- 2.5 Cubic Yard Multipurpose Clamshell Bucket; Light, Type II -- 2.5 Cubic Yard Multipurpose Clamshell Bucket; Light, Type III -- 2.5 Cubic Yard Multipurpose Clamshell Bucket; Heavy, Type I -- 4.5 Cubic Yard Rock Bucket; Heavy, Type II -- 5.00 Cubic Yard General Purpose Bucket; Heavy, Type III -- 5.0 Cubic Yard Tool Carrier. This will be a life cycle replacement and will be known as the Family of Loaders (FOL). It is anticipated that the Heavy Loaders, Type I, II and III and the Light Loaders, Type III, will be commercial vehicles, with the Light Loaders Type I and II being developmental. The intent of procuring these vehicles, as a "family" is to achieve commonality in several logistics areas to include spare and repair parts, technical manuals, maintenance procedures and philosophies, special tools, etc. This annnouncement is to provide offerors notification of our intentions. A Draft Operational Requirements Document (ORD) for the Family of Loaders will be posted to the Family of Loaders home page (http://contracting.tacom.army.mil/comveh/heavyloader/DAAE0799RS024). Any comments on this document should be sent to the email address: scottjoe@tacom.army.mil.
