Description

Solicitation Number N00421-01- Q-0155 to be issued as a request for quote (RFQ). The Government intends to purchase on a firm fixed-price basis, and will award the purchase order on a sole source basis with General Kinetics Inc., 110 Sunway Drive, Johnstown, PA 15905 for the part numbers listed below, under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1. GKI is the sole manufacturer of equipment required to meet the Government's minimum requirements. GKI is the only company that can provide the 6 each ADS Consoles P/N: 807-850D-1 and 6 each ADS Drawers P/N: 807-863-D-1 as well as miscellaneous parts that are 100% compatible for the proper installation of the OD-220/TPX-42A(V)14 Display Enclosure into the AN/TPX-42A(V)14 system. These consoles and drawers are used with the Amphibious Air Traffic Control (AATC) and Carrier Air Traffic Control Center (CATCC) systems aboard various Navy ships. The contract line item number and description is: CLIN 0001 ADS Console P/N 807-850D-1, qty 6 each; CLIN 0002 ADS Drawer P/N 807-863-D-1, qty 6 each; CLIN 0003 Miscellaneous ADS Parts, qty 1 Lot. Award is expected to be in Feb 2001. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all information received from interested parties by 31 January 2001 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not pay for any information received.
