- THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE AND ISSUED FOR INFORMATION ONLY. DO NOT REQUEST SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS UNTIL THE RFP IS ISSUED. A FORTHCOMING CBD NOTICE WILL HAVE ALL THE NECESSARY INFORMATION FOR REQUESTING THE SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS AND WILL BE ISSUED ON OR ABOUT JANUARY 26, 2001. THE APPROXIMATE SOLICITATION RELEASE DATE IS FEBRUARY 12, 2001. The project is to replace the elevator control systems on all three elevators at Building 3400, Great Lakes Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, Illinois. The work includes furnishing all labor, transportation, supervision, material, and equipment and performing all operations in connection with removing the existing controllers, generators, doors, traveling cables, call stations, and related hardware and replace with new in accordance with ASME A17.1. The work shall be performed at Building 3400, Great Lakes, IL. The specified repair work is required on all three elevators in the building. This is an occupied building. The contractor will be required to coordinate repairs with the building occupants through the designated Government representative. The estimated price range is between $207,000.00 to $230,000.00. The performance period is 120 days. The NAICS code is 333921. The FSC code is Z111. This will be a Firm Fixed-Price contract. The proposed project will be advertised as "Unrestricted-Competitive." The solicitation will be formatted as a Request for Proposal (RFP) in accordance with the requirements designated by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 15 for negotiated procurements utilizing source selection procedures of FAR 15.3. The Government will award the contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose proposal conforms to the solicitation and who will be the "Best Value" to the Government, price and technical factors considered equally. Offers will not be publicly opened. The number of offers received, the identity of the offerors, and the amount of any offer or relative standing of the offers will not be disclosed to anyone until time of contract award. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a DOD contract.
