Description

The Government intends to modify contract FA4452-98-D-0005 with Midwest Manufacturing Technology Corporation (Mid.Tec), 706 N. Jefferson, St. Louis, MO 63103, by increasing the maximum ordering amount from $9.5M to $20M. This increase will provide for continued acquisition of technical, non-personal services to further develop the Manufacturing Technical Assistance Pilot Program (MTAPP). MTAPP requirements include the following: (1) Identify woman-owned businesses (WOBs) and historically underutilized businesses (HUBs) in targeted industrial sectors as potential contractors and subcontractors for Department of Defense (DoD) programs; (2) Assess these network WOBs and HUBs in terms of capacity and viability to contract with DoD and its prime contractors; (3) Identify DoD contract opportunities and assist these network companies in the analysis and viability to receive the award of DoD contract opportunities; (4) Provide technical assistance and resource support to the network companies to expand their capacity and address deficiencies; (5) Identify potential strategic alliance opportunities; and (6) Assess the availability, applicability and accessibility of business development programs and services. The resultant ceiling increase will accommodate additional expansion funding for FY01 and the final option year (FY02). See Note 22.
