Description

The Bureau of Land Management Alaska Fire Service has a requirement to purchase parachutes from Para Flite, Pennsauken, NJ. This will be a sole source procurement based on the justifications on file for noncompetitive procurements. This justification in part states that these parachutes will be used along side already purchased parachutes for the intragency fire center located at Fort Wainwright -- Alaska Fire Service -- Bureau of Land Management. The BLM will be purchasing DC-7 Ram-Air Parachutes and MT-1S Reserve Parachutes and Reserve Deployment system for the MT-1S. The SIC Code for the purchase is 2399. BLM will negotiate with Para Flite dealer for the equipment needed for this purchase under the authority of 41 U.S.C.253(c) and 10 U.S.C.2304(c). BLM believes these products to be available from one source and that they meet all of the requirements for multi-agency use for low altitude jumps.
