Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number N00164-01-Q-0078 is hereby issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The proposed contract is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-20 and DCN 20001213. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 333618 and the size standard is 1000 employees. This requirement is for the following: CLIN 0001 30 ea, Cylinder Kit, Detroit Diesel P/N 5198904, NIIN: 3040-00-018-2394 or equal, for Detroit Diesel Allison Series 53 Diesel Engines; CLIN 0002 60 ea, Cylinder Kit, Detroit Diesel P/N 23505306, NIIN: 2815-01-318-8531 or equal, for Detroit Diesel 71 Series Engine; CLIN 0003 14 ea Fuel Pump, Detroit Diesel P/N R5199560, or equal; CLIN 0004 60 ea Cylinder Kit, Detroit Diesel P/N 23522949, NIIN: 2815 -01-318-1474 or equal, for Detroit Diesel 71 Series Engine; CLIN 0005 14 ea Gasket, Detroit Diesel P/N 5150155, NIIN:5330- 01-390-6309 or equal. Delivery is required F.O.B. Destination within 60 days after award. All items will be shipped to NAVAIR SEFAC, Bldg 105, Solomons MD 20688. M/F C0465. Selection for award will be based on past performance and price. Quotes that are non-compliant with any material requirement of this solicitation may be rejected without further consideration for award. This will be a firm fixed price contract and will be awarded utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The contractor shall extend to the Government the full coverage of commercial sale warranty provided such warranty is available at no additional cost to the Government.
