Naval Station San Diego will be hosting an ON-SITE Technology Expo on Friday, June 15, 2001. This event will be promoted to all military and civilian agencies at the Naval Station including: Naval Surface Fleet, U.S. Pacific Fleet, Shore Intermediate Maintenance Activity, Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Conversion and Repair, Naval Education and Training Support Center, Naval Electronics Systems Engineering Center, and FISC. Naval Station San Diego is home to approximately 60 Navy ships and homebase to 50 separate commands. There are approximately 48,000 military and civilian personnel located here! Some of the technologies requested include: Software Development, Telecommunications, Testing Equipment, Software Design, RAID Systems, Virtual Reality, Teleconferencing, Workstations, Parallel Processing, Digital Imaging, Presentation Systems, Storage Devices, CAD/CAM/CAE, Systems Integration, ATM & Ethernet Switching, UNIX, TCP/IP, Real Time, and Internet/Intranet.
