Description

U.S. Coast Guard, Maintenance and Logistics Command Atlantic requests industry review, comments, and recommendations on the specification for Oily Water Separators. This is a Request for Information (RFI) only. It is not a Request for Proposal (or solicitation) or an indication that a contract will exist for this requirement. THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT INTEND TO AWARD A CONTRACT ON THE BASIS OF THIS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION OR OTHERWISE PAY FOR THE INFORMATION SOLICITED. The specification is intended to delineate the Coast Guard's requirements for oily water separators that are required for the 270' WMEC A and B class cutters. The purpose of the RFI is to obtain comments from industry for improving the specification and to take advantage of the best ideas, technology, and standard commercial practices in the market place. This agency will review responses and may contact selected firms for further discussions. As industry may expect to see portions of submitted information in future solicitations, no proprietary information may be submitted. Responses must also include their business size and state that the contract is not on the GSA Parties Excluded from Procurement Programs. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333319 and the business size standard is 500 employees. The deadline for submission is 26 January 2001.
