Eglin Air Force Base will be hosting an ON-SITE Technology on Friday, April 27, 2001. This event will be promoted to all 20,000 personnel on the base, including the following groups: Air Force Development Test Center, Aeronautical Systems Center, U.S. Air Force Warfare Center, 33rd Fighter Wing, 919th Special Operations Wing, 728th Air Control Squadron and 6th Ranger Training Battalion and more!! Eglin is one of LARGEST Air Force Bases in the United States, and covers miles of water ranges and reservations in the Gulf of Mexico. Eglin also employs more than 10,400 military and approximately 6,000 civilians. There are 20,000 plus PCs on this facility. Some of the technologies that have been requested include, but are not limited to: Engineering Tools and Support, Deployable Equipment, Ruggedized Equipment, Communications Equipment, Intranet/Internet, Plotters, Testing Equipment, Notebooks/Laptops, Virtual Reality, Networking Applications, Video Teleconferencing, Scanners, Video Systems, LAN/WAN, Real-Time Applications, Multimedia, and Imaging.
