Description

Schriever Air Force Base will be hosting their Summer Technology Exposition on Wednesday, August 8, 2001. This event will be promoted to: Joint National Test Facility, Ballistic Missile Defense Organization; Space Warfare Center 17th Test Squadron, 576th Flight Test Squadron, 76th Space Operations Squadron, 55th Space Weather Squadron , Operating Location, Space and Missile Systems Center, Detachment 11, 11th Space Warning Squadron, Cheyenne Mountain Training and Simulation Systems, 2nd Command & Control Squadron, 18th Intelligence Squadron, Detachment 46, Air Force Technical Applications Center, Detachment 437, Air Force Office of Special Investigation, and the 310th Space Group. The 50th Space Wing is headquartered at Schriever AFB. Satellite operations are conducted from the Jack Swigert Space Opertions Facility. The base acreage is 3,840 and its population is approximately 3,800 military, DoD civilians, and contractors. Some of the requested technologies include: Real Time, Network Security, Networking, Telecommunications, Office Automation, Systems Integration, Testing Equipment, Presentation Systems, Multimedia, Office Automation, Workstations, Simulation Software, Deployable Technology, Storage Devices, Data Acquisition, Imaging, CD-ROM, Laptops/Notebooks.
