Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Heartland Network (VISN 15) intends to host a conference of commercial vendors who provide coding, billing and collection services to healthcare provider networks. The purpose of this announcement is to identify vendors who plan to attend the conference so that facility and logistic arrangements can be finalized. The purpose of this conference is: 1) to educate vendors about the VISN 15 and its revenue collection environment; 2) to learn from vendors how they support healthcare provider networks; and 3) to learn how vendors interface with hospital IT systems and how they could interface with the VISN 15. The vendor conference is being planned for 1 day on February 8, 2001 in Kansas City, MO. VISN 15 has decided to contract out its backlog in the areas of insurance verification, coding, billing, collections, and data validation. This will be accomplished in three phases. The second phase is the focus of this conference and will include coding, billing, and collections functions. Interested parties should provide notice of intent to attend the conference to Melissa Mathews, Systems Flow, Inc. by the close of business February 1, 2001 via facsimile or email. Further information on the conference will be provided upon receipt of the notice to attend. Interested parties shall include company name, number and names of those who will attend (limited to 2 per company), telephone number, facsimile number, and email address with their notice of intent to attend. In addition, we request that each party include a brief statement of your company's offerings to healthcare provider networks. No information received from vendors will be released without prior consent. The VAreserves the right to limit attendance at the conference. As a part of the on-going market research to develop solicitation documents, all interested companies, regardless of size are invited to attend. However, at this time, it is not known whether the resulting RFP will be reserved for a Total or Partial Small Business Set-Aside.
