Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will be issued upon request. Solicitation no. 20181-1-Q009 is issued as a request for quote (RFQ) and will be awarded as a Purchase Order using simplified acquisition procedures. The NAICS Code #333111 Farm Machinery & Equipment Manufacturing. The small business size is 500 employees. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-21. The solicitation item is as follows: Hydraulic lift pasture renovator with the following specifications: Empty weight: 15,000 lbs. Minimum structural weight Filled weight: 45,000 lbs. Maximum with the ability to adjust the weight anywhere in between; cutting width: 10 feet; drum diameter: 30" with 1/2" walls; number of drums: 2; cutting blades: 5/8" x 6" x 8" blades in a spiral arrangement and the blades harden throughout (Weld-on Astralloy V) material; axles: bolt-on stub axles and bearing carrier assemblies with tapered roller bearings and a 5" base; frame: c-frames constructed of boxed angle (8"x 8"x3/4" steel) and wide-flanged beams (45 lbs. Per foot); top frame: heavy duty with 10" diameter schedule 80 pipe used on main support beams; hydraulic wheel lift for easy transport; road wheels: 24 ply aircraft tires with heavy duty wheels, welded hydraulic cylinders with 2" cylinder rods; guarding: guarded hoses to reduce damage to hydraulic lines; tandem-angle adjustment and heavy duty swivel hitch. Delivery: FOB Destination to U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Aransas National Wildlife Refuge, 7 miles South East of Austwell on FM 2040, Austwell, Texas.
