Description

NOTICE OF INTENT: The VA Maryland Health Care System, Baltimore, Maryland intends to negotiate a sole source contract under Simplified Acquisition Procedures with GE Medical Systems, Hanover, MD for preventive maintenance on Varispect System, Elscint Varicam Nuclear Camera #ee53150. Contractor shall provide preventive maintenance and repair services for the period of one year, with four (4) renewable one year options. No solicitation document currently exists. Prospective contractors should submit written price and technical data within fifteen (15) calendar days of this notice. Written responses from interested companies must clearly and convincingly document their bonafide ability to meet the specific requirements and capability to properly provide PM and repair services in accordance with the original equipment manufacturer's (OEM) requirements, specifications and criteria. If no affirmative written responses (NO FAX) are received by the due date, an award will be made to GE Medical Systems. Oral communications are NOT acceptable. Only responses from responsible sources will be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses are due no later than 4:30PM, January 29, 2001.
