Description

This is a notice to enter into a non-competitive purchase order with the Gale Group, 2700 Drake Road, Farmington Hills , Mi. to renew its current subscription to the Galenet online services, available only through the Gale Group. These databases are proprietary products of the Gale Group and cannot be acquired elsewhere. Unlimited access will be available to Gale Ready Reference, Biography Resource Center and the U.S. and International versions of Expanded Academic Index. Services required will support the Public Diplomacy Research Center in Washington, D.C. and 170 overseas Information Resource Centers at American Embassies. Period of performance is from January, 2001, thru December 2001. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures and is exempt from the rquirements of FAR Part 6. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 51491. This notice of intent to award a purchase order to the Gale Group is not a request for competitive quotations. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. A request for Quotation (RFP) package is not available.
