Description

Replace Fire Alarm System, Project 620-00-115. Contractor will install a new, fully functional fire alarm system at the VA Hudson Valley Healthcare System, Montrose Campus, Route 9A, Montrose, NY, 10548. Construction will include but is not limited to the following: electrical, mechanical, and fire protection. Contractor will provide all materials, labor, equipment, tools, and supervision necessary to perform the work at the VA Hudson Valley Healthcare System, Montrose Campus. Work includes the installation of a fiber optic token ring base loop network in the existing communications network of manholes and conduit which connect all buildings, the cabling for all the buildings designated by the working drawings, installation of a Fire Command Station located in building 19 (the fire house) with a redundant Head-End System located in building 20 (the boiler plant), testing of all fire alarm systems to comply with the VA Fire Protection Design Manual, the National Fire Codes, the Uniform Building Code, and the Americans with Disabilities Act, for the installation of a fully addressable fire alarm system. Buildings included in this project are 19, 20, 15, 9, 3, 11, 28, and 4. Contract duration is 389 calendar days. There is one BID ALTERNATE at this time. The Bid documents are available upon written request on company letterhead for a fee of $100. The required $100 check is non-refundable and must be a certified check or money order made out to the Department of Veterans Affairs.
