Central Plant The total project area is approximately 110,000 square feet on two levels. The work includes but is not limited to the following: 1. Site clearing and preparation 2. Underground and aboveground utilities 3. Concrete work 4. Structural steel 5. Miscellaneous metals 6. Casework 7. Waterproofing 8. Standard doors, frames, windows and hardware 9. Overhead doors 10. Finish work including tile, gypsum drywall and plaster 11. Food Service and Laundry Equipment 12. Detention Equipment including security doors, windows, hardware, and inmate furnishings 13. Mechanical, electrical and plumbing installations including water storage and filtration, reverse osmosis processing and emergency power generator. 14. Security Electronics Contract Documents (plans and specifications) will be available at the Technical Services Division, Department of Public Works, Lower Base, Saipan on or about December 18, 2000. A non-refundable payment of one thousand dollars (US $1,000.00) is required for each set and must be paid in order to bid on this project. Payment must be made payable to the "CNMI Treasurer" and presented to the Technical Services Division, Department of Public Works, Lower Base, Saipan, 96950, when obtaining the Contract Documents. The contractor shall be responsible for any cost of shipping the documents to his place of business. Contractors may wish to arrange with FedEx, DHL, TNT or UPS for delivery of payment and shipping of documents. All firms intending to bid must attend a mandatory pre-bid conference, which will include a visit to the site. The pre-bid conference will be held at the Multi-Purpose Building, Civic Center, Saipan on Thursday, January 18, 2001 at 9:00 AM for the purpose of reviewing the proposed work and answering questions. Attendance at this conference is a prerequisite for bidding on this project. Any bid received from bidder who did not attend the mandatory pre-bid meeting will be rejected. Sealed bids must be marked "DPW00-IFB-065". For bidders within the CNMI, an original and three copies of sealed bids must be submitted to the Director of Procurement and Suppply, Lower Base, Saipan, no later than 2:00 PM local time, Wednesday, February 14, 2001. Bidders located outside the CNMI may obtain an additional seven (7)working days for receipt of their bids by submitting a Notice of Intent to Bid. Notice of Intent to Bid shall be on Contractor's letterhead and must be received by the Director of Procurement and Supply no later than 2:00 PM local time, Wednesday, February 14, 2001, and may be transmitted via facsimile to 1-670-664-1515, or via email to procurement@gtepacifica.net. For bidders located outside the CNMI, an original and three (3) copies of sealed bids must be postmarked by the U.S. Postal Serive or the official government postal service of a foreign country no later than Wednesday, February 14, 2001, and must be received no later than February 26, 2001. Note that failure to submit the required number of copies may be cause for rejection. Bids will be publicly opened and read at the Division of Procurement and Supply, Lower Base, Saipan, at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 27, 2001. etc.
