Description
The United States is seeking to purchase vacant land in San Diego County, California consisting of at least 20 acres. Area of consideration: The area between and including the communities of Pine Valley, CA; Lake Morena Village, CA; Campo, CA; and Live Oak Springs, CA, loosely bounded on the North by Interstate Highway 8, on the south by State Highway 94, on the West by Buckman Springs Road and on the East by La Posta Road. In addition, potential sites should meet the following criteria: (1) Contain at least 20 acres. The land shall be free of environmental and regulatory concerns. (2) The site shall have electric power already available to the site. (3) The site shall be capable of supporting a septic system and leach field, if sewer service is not already available to the site. (4) The site shall be located within 500 feet of a paved public roadway. Development of this site should not interfere with local school traffic, and should not negatively impact on the local community. (5) The site shall be capable of supporting a commercial well, if potable water is not already available. (6) Site must be able to support helicopter traffic.
