- Description
- UNICOR, FPI intends to enter into a Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity type contract for the following items: Polyurethane Padding (Core # 1) FAB #'s 3348, 3349, 3350, and 3351 -- 35"X80"X6", suitable for use as Core #1 material for mattresses, Polyester Padding (Core # 2) FAB #'s 5168, 5169, 5170, and 5171, Denier Nylon Fabric (Mattress Ticking) FAB 5166 -- 100% Densified polyester batting mattress core, minimum 20% low melt content, and Fire Barrier fabric FAB 5167 -- Tubular sleeve construction: 1X1 rib Knit: Weight: 6.5 oz Per Linear Yard Minimum, Width: 30" minimum. The above components will be constructed into a mattress by the contractor using Core # 1 and Core # 2 which shall be tested by an independent laboratory for compliance with California Technical Bulletin # 129. A sample of two (2) Each finished mattresses is required each constructed using the materials solicited above with Core #1 and Core # 2. Submission of this sample shall be a condition of contract award. The period of performance shall be for one (1) base year with two (2) option years if exercised. Delivery shall be FOB Destination at USP Atlanta, GA. Delivery acceptance is 30 days after receipt of each delivery order. The Delivery Order Minimum is: 20 each finished mattresses. The Delivery Order Maximum is: 2,000 each finished mattresses. The Guaranteed Minimum Amount is: 20 each finished mattresses (base year and each option year if exercised). This requirement is domestic only, and is all or none. The award will be based on the best value to the Government. The Evaluation Factors are: Price, Past Performance, and Specifications. Additional information will be provided in the solicitation which is due to be issued on or about January 16, 2001. Please do not access UNICOR's website for this solicitation until January 16, 2001 as it will not be available for download until that date. All interested parties shall retrieve a copy of the solicitation from UNICOR's website at www.unicor.gov .
